Soup, Eucharist, and Conversation on Wednesday nights in Lent
The forty days between Ash Wednesday and Easter are given as a time to try and lay aside some what holds us back from reflecting on the truth of our lives. It can be a time of taking up practices and patterns that allow us to look at–to behold–ourselves as passing, creaturely dust, and God’s powerful, vulnerable, transforming love for us.
On Wednesday nights in Lent—Feb 21 & 28 and March 7, 14 & 21—please join us at 6:00pm for a simple Eucharist, meal, and time of reflection. Our conversations will begin from Archbishop Rowan Williams’ brief and wonderful new book The Sign and the Sacrifice, but participating won’t depend on having it, or having read–everyone is always welcome.
